Hypnotherapy, TRX and plan for the week…

It’s been a good weekend so far.

Friday night I came home, cleaned house and rested.  Yesterday I cleaned a bit more, cooked stuff in the crockpot, went to yoga/hypnotherapy and then out with friends.  Today was TRX, food shopping, car service and then more cooking.

Hypnotherapy was great this week.  She talked a lot about not eating soy and I’m not sure if I agree with it or not, but that is ok.  I’ll have to look at the research and see what it says.  I personally don’t eat a lot of soy products, but I do like to have some tofu as a source of protein when I’m going meatless.

It was again a relaxing time to focus on myself and reflect on the positive mindset of getting healthy.

Last night my mother in law came to babysit and I went out to see Jeff Dunham with friends.  What was nice about the night is even though we went out to dinner, the night wasn’t about food.  It was more talking, laughing and just being social.

I did have one cocktail and one beer though so it did make it harder to get up this morning for TRX.

I wouldn’t call this week “easier”, but I was able to do more.  I can definitely tell my lungs are getting better and I’m just going to keep working at it.

Thanks to TRX, I am living in a pretty constant state of soreness.  Yesterday I was finally not feeling that sore from Wednesday night and now I can definitely tell I’m going to be sore again.

So, my plan for this week:

On Saturday, I cooked Crock Pot Picadillo so I could make Crock Pot Picadillo Stuffed Peppers today.

My husband liked the idea of the zucchini boats from last week, but doesn’t like mexican flavors so I’m also going to make Turkey Stuffed Zucchini.

I also have a piece of salmon to make for the week.

Exercise wise:

Monday – Couch to 5K Day 1 Week 1
Tuesday – Zumba
Wednesday – TRX
Thursday and Friday – Rest
Saturday – Dance Mania and Yoga Hypnotherapy

I’m feeling good getting back in the groove.

About nancykerins

I am a 38 year full time working mother of one doing my best to get healthy. I had lapband surgery in November of 2010 and then had a revision to the vertical gastric sleeve in February 2012. The purpose of this blog is a therapeutic tool for me to work out my feelings and write about what is going on during this experience. If I can help others through this blog, that is just a bonus.
