I did progress from week 2 to week 3 of the couch to 5K without repeating any of week 2. I think I’ll definitely be repeating week 3 for a day or two more.
Week 3 involves a 5 minute warm up, run for 90 seconds, walk for 90 seconds, run for 3 minutes, walk for 3 minutes, repeat and then 5 minute cool down.
Amazingly enough when I did it the first day, I ran for all 3 minutes each time. Then on Wednesday, I went out after work and could barely do 2 minutes. This morning, I could make it until 2 minutes 45 seconds and then I would have to stop.
Week 4 involves run for 3 minutes, walk for 90 seconds, run for 5 minutes walk for 2 1/2 minutes and then repeat. I just don’t see myself ready for that yet.
My plan is to just keep going every other day until I can do the routine at least twice. Then move on. I’ll train again on Sunday morning and if I can do the week 3 without stopping, I’ll try week 4 stuff on Tuesday.
