Couch to 5K, Week 2 Day 2

After trying on my wonderful new boots, I did go out for a walk/run.

I picked a new route through my condo complex, not realizing out hilly it was. On my second run, it was almost all uphill and I felt like I was going to die, but I did it. It was definitely harder last night, but I don’t see “hard” as a bad thing. When you run a 5K, you are going to have hills sometimes, it’s not going to be all flat.

One thing that was good is it was really cool outside. I definitely didn’t sweat as much. I’m really glad that I forced myself to go out and do it. I almost didn’t go due to work and getting home late.

It’s starting to get dark out early so I might be forced onto treadmill running more often. I just don’t feel secure running in the dark by myself.

That’s great! Hills definitely make it a lot harder, but isn’t it cool that your body could do it? You rock! (And boots are definitely on my goal list too, so I’m excited for you on that front!)
