I've been dealing with some lower back/right hip pain since mid December. It's not the first time I've dealt with this and it just sucks.
Things were starting to feel good again though so I tried Aqua Zumba. As water exercise is easier on the joints, it was a good place to start.
I was in such a good mood going to the class. Did the class with no problem, things felt good. When I got out of the pool, things felt good. This morning I woke up with some dull pain.
It's not quite the pain I had before, but it's enough to tell me that my body wasn't ready.
I did choose last night as well as I had PT this morning and figured that would be good timing.
The PT agreed that it was too soon, but the only way to tell was to do a test like that. The good news is my pain is starting to "centralize". From what I'm told, with my injury, that is a good thing. It's almost one of those has to get worse in order to get better type things.
So definitely more PT and more rest. Only PT exercises for now, which are very gentle.
I'm feeling zen about the situation.
I'm glad I at least got to try something so I know and I'm glad my surgery got delayed so we can hopefully fix this before then.
