Last night during my WLS support group, we did the “portion distortion” quiz from sparkpeople.com.
It was a really good reminder on what is really a portion.
I think I often take too much to being with and then have trouble not eating what is on my plate. I’m going to try to keep in mind what is a true portion and start with that from now on.
I just finished another quiz called “When Does Food Become Fat?”.
My favorite question was:
If you overeat by quite a bit one day, what should you do to prevent weight gain?
A. Balance it out by cutting way back on calories and doing a lot of extra exercise the next day
B. Make small adjustments in eating and exercise over a week’s time, so that your calorie count for the whole week comes out about right
I got the answer to this one right. I learned a lot from this quiz in general that helps get rid of a lot of diet mentality myths.
