Finally took some progress pictures!

I wish I took pictures at my highest weight. I completely forgot the night before I started my liquid diet. I at least remembered the night before surgery, which is the picture I’m using to compare.

306 lbs – 15 down 269 lbs – 52 down

I personally see more of a difference in the side shot and am of course being highly critical of myself. Even though I’m happy, I’m still obese so it’s hard for me to be completely happy about the pictures.

I will take progress pics again at 75lbs down.

About nancykerins

I am a 38 year full time working mother of one doing my best to get healthy. I had lapband surgery in November of 2010 and then had a revision to the vertical gastric sleeve in February 2012. The purpose of this blog is a therapeutic tool for me to work out my feelings and write about what is going on during this experience. If I can help others through this blog, that is just a bonus.

There is a big difference… In size, but look how much more… oh, I dunno. Maybe it’s just the way the pictures were taken, but you seem to inhabit your body so much better now than then. And that’s pretty major. Your face has changed a lot too!
Looking good… Onwards and downwards! 🙂

Thanks! I think it’s often easier for others to see. I get what you are saying about inhabiting my body. I do feel more comfortable with myself in general.

    That’s great progress!
It’s hard to notice it ourselves.
As a visual look at your glasses!! The before, they looked almost lost on your face and in the after, they almost look to big for your face now!!
    You’re doing great!!
