I suck at taking my supplements

I have always sucked at remembering to take medications.

I haven’t even had surgery yet and I’m already on all sorts of vitamin supplements.

Here is my daily schedule:

Morning:
Iron
Multivitamin
Vitamin C

Lunch:
Calcium Citrate +D
Vitamin D

Evening:
Iron
Multivitamin
Vitamin C
Celexa

I always take my celexa at least.  I’ve been in that habit for more than a year.

All of the vitamin supplements, I’m usually get in at least one set a day, a good day is two of the three.

I did set my phone up with a reminder to take my lunch supplements.  My phone is usually on my desk at work so that helps.  I’m actually writing this now as I take my lunch supplements.

I didn’t bother to set the reminders though for morning and evening since my phone will be in my purse and I won’t see it anyway.

At the last support group meeting, they talked about the vitamin supplements and how important they are.  They also said that it’s the one of the things that people are the least compliant on.

I don’t want to be non-compliant.  I’m not trying to be non-compliant.  I just need to figure out how to get myself to remember 3 times a day.

About nancykerins

I am a 38 year full time working mother of one doing my best to get healthy. I had lapband surgery in November of 2010 and then had a revision to the vertical gastric sleeve in February 2012. The purpose of this blog is a therapeutic tool for me to work out my feelings and write about what is going on during this experience. If I can help others through this blog, that is just a bonus.
